Doug has been painting for 30 years which has translated into his own style, uniquely expressing his interpretation of Canadian landscapes. Doug's works are in private collections and can be seen in some galleries across Ontario.
Doug finds his inspiration in the beauty of the world around him. He has been fortunate enough to live on the West Coast of Canada and in the Niagara region of Ontario which has provided many sources of motivation for some of his best work. Our cabin in Lanark, Ontario is another spot that encourages his creativity because of its beauty and tranquility.
Doug recommends that people get out and discover their own creativity. He mentors others including our children to try different mediums in which they explore their own artistic expression.
Life is full of surprises that can be fun to capture on a canvas.
You never know what you might get!
